Today is Jon and Kate Gosselin's tenth wedding anniversary, and as their marriage continues to be rocked by affair allegations, old footage of Kate denying her thirsty daughter water while she swigs from a bottle has popped up on YouTube.

The video, taken during an appearance on 'Access Hollywood,' shows one of the twins, Mady, telling her mom she's thirsty.

"I want a drink. I haven't had a drink all day, Mady exclaims, head in hand, as Kate ignores her. "I'm going to get dehydrated!"

Kate then claims, "Yes, me too," and asks for a bottle of water.

Water in hand, Kate sips some, puts the bottle down and does not offer Mady any.

As the kid pleads, "I need a drink now" Kate tells her to "be quiet," to which Mady says, "You're really, really mean!"

David Carradine found dead in wardrobe in suspected sex game gone wrong

hai police are investigating the twin theories that the death was either suicide or a sex game gone wrong. Carradine, 72, was found hanging in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and other parts of his body.

The actor was in Thailand to shoot a film and checked into the luxury Nai Lert Park Hotel, situated next to the British Embassy, on May 31. He failed to join crew members for dinner on Wednesday night but they did not raise the alarm, believing him to be resting in his suite. A maid discovered his body at 11.30am on Thursday.

Initially, police said they believed Carradine had committed suicide and were not seeking anyone else in connection with the death. "There is no trace of fighting in the hotel room and the room was locked from inside. There is no sign of bruising on his body," police official Pirom Janthapirom said. "We are investigating from where he got the rope because it does not seem it was from the hotel."

However, there was no suicide note and an unnamed officer claimed the death may have been an attempt at auto-eroticism.

The circumstances are similar to those surrounding the unexplained death of Michael Hutchence, the INXS singer who was found hanged in a Sydney hotel room in 1997.

Carradine is survived by his wife, Annie Bierman, and three children. His agent, Chuck Binder, said the news was "shocking". The actor was "full of life, always wanting to work... a great person," and had been in good spirits of late Mr Binder said.

The star was part of an acting dynasty which included his father, John Carradine, and brothers Bruce, Keith and Robert.

Born in 1936, he became a household name in the United States in Shane, the 1960s television Western. His most famous role was the wandering Shaolin monk Kwai Chang Caine in Kung Fu, the 1970s series which earned him cult status. Although regarded as a B-movie actor, he had worked with directing greats including Martin Scorsese and Ingmar Bergman. In 2003, Quentin Tarantino cast Carradine in Kill Bill, his two-part homage to martial arts movies, introducing him to a new, younger audience.

The suicide theory was lent weight by comments Carradine made in a 2004 interview, in which he spoke of killing himself. "Why would you be afraid of death? It would be an inconvenience. I have a lot of undone things and it's bound to get in the way. But, no, it doesn't scare me at all," he said.

"Look, there was a period in my life when I had a single action Colt 45, loaded, in my desk drawer. And every night I'd take it out and think about blowing my head off. And then decide not to and go on with my life. Put it back in the drawer and open up the laptop and continue writing my autobiography or whatever. But it was just to see.

"And then I remember one time sitting in the window of the third or fourth floor of the Plaza Hotel for about an hour thinking about just tipping off. And that was at a time when I was having more fun than you could imagine. I just thought, 'Who the ---- cares, man? Why don't I just split?' Of course I didn't, so there you go."

BANGKOK — Actor David Carradine, star of the 1970s TV series "Kung Fu" who also had a wide-ranging career in the movies, has been found dead in the Thai capital, Bangkok. A news report said he was found hanged in his hotel room and was believed to have committed suicide.

A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy, Michael Turner, confirmed the death of the 72-year-old actor. He said the embassy was informed by Thai authorities that Carradine died either late Wednesday or early Thursday, but he could not provide further details out of consideration for his family.

The Web site of the Thai newspaper The Nation cited unidentified police sources as saying Carradine was found Thursday hanged in his luxury hotel room.

It said Carradine was in Bangkok to shoot a movie and had been staying at the hotel since Tuesday.

The newspaper said Carradine could not be contacted after he failed to appear for a meal with the rest of the film crew on Wednesday, and that his body was found by a hotel maid at 10 a.m. Thursday morning. The name of the movie was not immediately available.

It said a preliminary police investigation found that he had hanged himself with a cord used with the room's curtains. It cited police as saying he had been dead at least 12 hours and there was no sign that he had been assaulted.

A police officer at Bangkok's Lumpini precinct station would not confirm the identity of the dead man to The Associated Press, but said the luxury Swissotel Nai Lert Park hotel had reported that a male guest killed himself there.

Carradine was a leading member of a venerable Hollywood acting family that included his father, character actor John Carradine, and brother Keith.

In all, he appeared in more than 100 feature films with such directors as Martin Scorsese, Ingmar Bergman and Hal Ashby.

But he was best known for his role as Kwai Chang Caine, a Shaolin priest traveling the 1800s American frontier West in the TV series "Kung Fu," which aired in 1972-75.

He reprised the role in a mid-1980s TV movie and played Caine's grandson in the 1990s syndicated series "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues."

He returned to the top in recent years as the title character in Quentin Tarantino's two-part saga "Kill Bill."

Whataburger closing Central Florida locations

I tried Whataburger once last time before they bit the dust (they close all central florida locations including Orlando this May 31st). I never liked it and it reconfirmed my distaste for the burger. I ordered the Whataburger and I did like the slightly sweet buns but the hamburger meat itself was flavorless and chewy and all in all bad quality. I see why they are shutting down. Farewell Whataburger!

Texas-based Whataburger Restaurants will shut down its Central Florida locations May 31.

"It just became a situation where they were no longer a financially sound investment for us," spokeswoman Pam Cox said. "Sales were low and costs were high."

The company is shutting down 14 Florida Whataburger locations. It is also shutting down three restaurants in Phoenix and one in Sherman, Texas.

Whataburger Restaurants has about 700 restaurants around the country. The chain had been in the Central Florida market since 2005. It has two locations in Orlando and one in Winter Park.

To be honest, I remember little of my visit to Japan Inn in sunny Plantation near Fort Lauderdale, not due to the place itself but because of my condition of drunken stupor that evening.

It would have been rude of me, no a dishonor, to decline the owner's offer of various bottles of hot sake and other various assortments of alcoholic beverages. I can't let him down.

We were there that evening to visit the restaurant whose owner had been a friend of the family for years. A kindly jovial elder Japanese man who seemingly enjoyed getting our party as drunk as can be.

So began the swigging of sake glasses and the churning of the hot rice wine down the barrels into the dark oblivion.

The restaurant was dark. Lit by blue neon lights. An ambience reminscent of the gritty futuristic dystopia of Blade Runner where everyone spoke Japanese. The place was filled with couples, families, and friends all out on the night for a good time at the hibachi/tepanyaki grill. The grill let off clouds of steam once in a while, bombarding the air with its sweet and slightly suffocating smokes.

Holy crap! I looked down into the huge bowl that awaited for me below: a generous mixture of fresh romaine lettuce and salad leaves, luscious morsels of sashimi: tuna, salmon, white octopus, yellowtail and more, orange masago fish eggs sprinkled on top a bed of sushi rice. The Spicy Korean Chirashi bowl had just been whisked to my table and positioned in front of me as if challenging me to defeat it. The bowl was gigantic, a traditionally Japanese dish with a Korean spicy red pepper paste sauce to mix with on the side. The spicy korean chirashi bowl melded two of my favorite cuisines together into a delectable and scrumptious dinner masterpiece. I was glad that my friends chose Seito's Sushi at Baldwin Park for tonight's occasion.

Seito Sushi restaurant is located on Broad Street in the "downtown" area of Baldwin Park,one of the surprising pockets of communities that dot the Orlando landscape. A distinct slightly-eerie pleasantville atmosphere resonates in this area, a recreation of the American small town center and a call to return to the values and hometown community togetherness of yesteryear that had been so long forgotten by the advent of the suburban sprawl.

Seito Sushi is sleek and modern, a mixture of new city sophistication and Japanese influenced design and decor. A matching soundtrack of light jazz/electric/lounge music plays in the background.

We were without a reservation for a party of 10 but the hostess and staff at Seito's readily and kindly accommodated us and we were quickly seated. Tonight we were celebrating a few friends' graduation from UCF and a friend's departure to the next part of her life as she trades Orlando for northern Virginia.

It must have been girl's night out because I was the only male in the restaurant at one point. Young women in tables of ten filled the restaurant this evening, like a scene out of Sex in the City. I asked my partner why she thinks it is and we came to agree that its because sushi is all in all a seemingly sophisticated, exotic and at the same time healthy food choice . Fish are known to be high in nutrients and low in fat, and since most of it is raw, theres little frying involved. The raw food craze going on now thats been popularized was practically invented and perfected to a crisp by the Japanese.

In addition to the spicy korean chirashi bowl ($19), I ordered the spicy volcano roll ($9), a crab roll topped with a blend of spicy minced crab, crawfish, lobster topping, baked and topped with a red masago called tobikko.

My partner orders the Bento box ($18) which comes with miso soup, salad, gyoza dumplings, two entree choices and rice. For the entrees, she orders the kal bi (soy-ginger-garlic blend marinated and chargrilled beef ribs) and the shrimp tempura for the entrees. Typically Bento boxes are served for lunch menus in lunch portions, but the bento boxes at Seito for dinner are enough for two to eat healthy. The kal bi beef was voluptuously tender and tasty and the shrimp tempura was also fresh and delicious. It was a great value for the quantity and quality of food.

My other friends order various rolls of sushi including the dragon skin roll, winter park roll, torchamaki roll, and more, all enjoying their orders with satisfaction. The prices are also all very reasonable ranging from 6 to 15 dollars a roll.

The service was good. The gentleman who waited on our table was sincere and attentive and the food arrived relatively quickly for our rather large dinner party.

Dessert was tempura-fried cheesecake with ice cream . Scrumptious. Our friend Christina, the one who is soon departing from Florida, described "the yummy cheesecake was fried in a rich dough complemented by the icy coolness of the sweet ice cream and a slight drizzle of chocolate syrup." That is definitely a sweet way to go out.

It is the eleventh film based on the Star Trek franchise and features the main characters of the original Star Trek series, who are portrayed by a new cast. It explores the backstories of James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto), before they unite aboard the USS Enterprise to combat Nero (Eric Bana), a Romulan from the future who threatens the United Federation of Planets. In North America and the UK, it will open 8 May following advance screenings starting at 7pm and 10.30am on the day before, respectively.

Development of the film began in 2005 when Paramount Pictures contacted Abrams, Orci and Kurtzman for ideas to revive the franchise. The creative team contrasted Orci and Lindelof, who consider themselves "Trekkies", with casual fans like Abrams, who all aimed to create a film that would interest a general audience. They wanted to be faithful to Star Trek canon, but they also introduced elements of their favorite novels, modified continuity with the time travel storyline, and modernized the production design of the original show. Filming took place from November 2007 to March 2008 under intense secrecy. Midway through the shoot, Paramount chose to delay the release date from December 25, 2008 to May 7 (May 8 in North America), 2009, believing the film could reach a wider audience.

Zoe Saldana as Nyota Uhura. Abrams had liked her work and requested that she play the role. Saldana never saw the original series, but agreed to play the role after Abrams had complimented her. "For an actor, that's all you need, that's all you want. To get the acknowledgment and respect from your peers," she said. She met with Nichelle Nichols, who explained to her how she had created Uhura's background, and also named the character. Saldana's mother was a Star Trek fan and sent her voice mails during filming, giving advice on the part. Sydney Tamiia Poitier also auditioned for the part.

I am counting down the days till this movie (Terminator Salvation) comes out. Christian Bale is really one of the best actors out there right now. Even though he got a lot of flack about his verbal beratement of that guy on the set (christian bale's rant), I think he was just in character and trying to get into that mindset. He was originally a independent film actor but ever since Dark Knight and my personal favorite, the Prestige, he has been gaining more and more exposure. Selling over a $1 Billion for Dark Knight doesn't hurt either.

By all appearances, it's a tough job. In another recent fan post, a user named Srinkar pleads, “If possible, develop your Bengali language up to date, as most of us are eagerly waiting to take the maximum pleasure through the mother tongue.” Indeed.

Legends often contain important lessons about the cultures from which they spring or, at least, clues about the beliefs and customs of the people who lived in them. This is true of the Vietnamese legend of the origin of the mosquito, which reveals a great deal about the traditional Vietnamese aspiration towards the avoidance of emotion, as well as attitudes towards women.

A humble rice farmer, Ngoc Tam, fell in love with and married Nhan Diep, who came to live with him and spent her time raising silkworms. Nhan Diep dreamed of a life of ease and luxury, which she concealed from her husband. Alas, she then suddenly died. Ngoc Tam was distraught for his love for his wife was unconditional. He refused to abandon his hope that Nhan Diep would return to him. Instead of burying her body, therefore, he sold all of his possessions to buy a sampan – a small boat – and sailed away with his dead wife. After a period of travelling, Ngoc Tam came across a fragrant hill, decorated with many beautiful flowers.

He had come across Thien Thai, the mountain of the genie of medicine, which moved around the world to give people the chance to learn about science and medicine. The genie offered Ngoc Tam the honour of becoming his disciple but he refused. He said he only wanted to have his wife restored to him. The genie thought it would be better for Ngoc Tam to abandon his attachments to the world but, taking mercy on the farmer’s continued entreaties, decided to bring back Nhan Diep. He opened the coffin and cut Ngoc Tam’s finger and let three drops of blood fall onto the body of his wife, who opened her eyes and smiled.

The genie instructed Nhan Diep to be mindful of her obligations to her husband. Ngoc Tam began to row the sampan back home eagerly, keen to resume his old life. One night, he stopped near a town to collect some provisions. While he was gone, a rich merchant brought his boat close to the sampan and, attracted by Nhan Diep’s beauty, invited her on board his vessel. She accepted. The merchant at once ordered the boat to sail away.

Ngoc Tam searched for his wife for a month before finding the merchant’s vessel. By this time, Nhan Diep had become accustomed to a life of luxury and was not interested in returning to her husband.

Utterly disheartened, Ngoc Tam asked only that she return to him the three drops of blood that he had given to restore her life. Nhan Diep gladly agreed but even as she took the knife to her finger, the life began to drain from her body, she turned pale and sank to the ground and died. Since then, Nhan Diep has returned in the form of a mosquito, endlessly bothering her former husband and trying to regain the three drops of blood that would restore her to her life of luxury.

This legend is not just a story to explain why people are pestered by the mosquitoes which can be so plentiful in Vietnam. It also wants to persuade us to accept the lot we are given by heaven. Ngoc Tam should have accepted the death of his wife. However, as he is a virtuous man, he is given the opportunity to reclaim what he had lost to see for himself that it is a fruitless endeavour to try to thwart heaven’s intention.

He does not even have the chance to bring his wife home again before her innate nature causes her to abandon him again. As for Nhan Diep, her refusal ever to accept her lot finally condemns her to a life of noisy, ceaseless movement. This is the exact opposite of the calm quiet that is believed to offer the path to true contentment. It is, of course, conventional in East Asian literature and legend for women to be given the role of flighty ingrate.

The perceived threat to society and social order arising from women refusing to accept what their husbands are able to provide for them has been a long-standing one. It is a form of rebellion that subverts the natural order that is described and prescribed by Confucius.

Daniel Henney, an American expatriate actor in South Korea, has joined the cast of X-Men Origins: Wolverine as David North, aka Agent Zero.

North is part of the clandestine Team X, which was formed by the CIA. Team X consists of three field agents: Logan (Wolverine), North (Agent Zero) and Victor Creed (Sabretooth). According to Variety, Agent Zero is an expert tracker with lethal marksman skills.

Steven Chu, PhD - US Secretary of Energy

Steven Chu, Ph.D is an American physicist and currently the 12th United States Secretary of Energy. As a scientist, Chu is known for his research in cooling and trapping of atoms with laser light, which won him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1997.

At the time of his appointment as Energy Secretary, he was a professor of physics and molecular and cellular biology at the University of California, Berkeley and the director of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where his research was concerned primarily with the study of biological systems at the single molecule level. He is a vocal advocate for more research into alternative energy and nuclear power, arguing that a shift away from fossil fuels is essential to combat global warming.

Thank you for having me today and thank you for being here today as we
remember Black April.

My name is Ricky Ly. I am 23 years old and a recent graduate of the
University of Central Florida
and past president of the Vietnamese American Student Association.

Black April is a day of remembrance and a day of great loss for many of us
here tonight.

A day when a nation became scattered across the world,
like dust in the wind,
searching for a place to find their freedoms again.

To me Black April is something that marked the beginning of a journey,
a journey that my parents began and continues today with me.

Let me recount to you the story of my mother's journey

Growing up, my mother's childhood was filled with memories of Vietnam's
countryside, endless green and muddy rice fields,
memories of childhood stories about the animals that live in the jungles,
stories about the mosquito and the star fruit trees,
and memories of war.

Memories of being placed into a basket next to fruits
and carried by her grandfather on a pole across his shoulder
as he raced across the city to dodge the bombs falling from the sky.

Her parents passed away at age 11 and she was sent with her youngest brother
to live in Saigon.
She took care of her brother while her older brothers went to fight in
the war
and she did the only thing she knew how to do at that time:
clean and sweep the floors and dream of a better life for her brother and
her children one day.

At 22 my mother left Vietnam as a boat refugee, like many of you who are here today, to search for that dream.
Out at sea for weeks, not knowing if they will die from hunger, monsoons,
or pirate attacks, always hoping they will reach the land of freedom and
opportunity, America.

She stayed in a refugee camp in the Phillipines for almost 8 months before
finally being sponsored by my uncle to the United States.
Through it all she kept hope alive, a hope she dreamt
about under the stars at night in the
Phillipines refugee camp,
a hope for a better life and opportunities for her children
that could only be found in the land of the free,
a land where if you work hard enough, anything is possible.

Today she works in the nail salons with my aunts,
painting and polishing and sitting at the salon
wondering how her children are doing while theyre away in college
and if they ate rice today yet and wondering what dreams we may be dreaming
of.

Today at age 23, I can only imagine what courage and strength it took for
my mom to face the world at her age when she took her first step onto
that small boat a step into the unknown.

She never gave up on her dreams and if she could do it,
the least I could do is try my best and dream even bigger than she had for
us.

I thank you all to the parents in the audience to
the mothers and the fathers who have sacrificed so much for us the second
generation
to come up into the world.

We can see far into the horizon and look at the world proud
because we stand on the shoulders of giants.
Thank you again for everything you have given, your sacrifices, your hard work
your never ending love for your children. Thank you.

Black april is the day of sorrow and loss but not all has been lost.

A Storm Lake teenager was suspended from school this week because she refused to take a test for students who are not fluent in English.

Lori Phanachone, the U.S.-born daughter of immigrants from Laos, says she proved her grasp of English in other ways. The Storm Lake High School senior has a near-perfect 3.9 grade-point average and acceptance letters from two Iowa colleges.

But because she listed Lao as her first language on a school registration form, Phanachone said administrators forced her to take a test for students who lack basic English skills.

"I'm all for help where it's needed, but for you to generalize everyone who speaks a second language, that's so degrading," said Phanachone, 18, who also might miss her school prom and track season.

Teachers have been suspended in other states for giving in to immigrant parents who refuse the tests on behalf of their children. But national officials say Phanachone's refusal is rare.

"Mr. Ruleaux (assistant principal Beau Ruleaux) told me I was 'no Rosa Parks' -- that I should give up because I would not succeed in my protest," Phanachone said.

"I'm not going to deny my heritage, I'm not going to disrespect my mother," said Phanachone.

This story really touched a nerve for me. It seriously pisses me off.... Not to be boastful, but throughout my life, I have shrived to achieve excellence in all things, especially in academics. I worked hard to be where I am today. In middle school I won awards for poetry and short story essay writing and in 10th grade I took the AP Calc exam and got a 5. I placed top 10 in my class and graduated with International Baccalaureate diploma etc etc. I was born and raised in Florida and went to public school since kindegarten.

I remember distinctly in 11th grade, one of my English teachers asked me one of the most insulting questions I ever heard and felt in my life. After reviewing one of my papers that I half-assed one time about the Conrad's Heart of Darkness, she asked me in acondescending tone "is English your first language?".

The letter, a computer printout in English, said Chen should disappear from any public or promotional events in any country from April 4, said reports. This was a final warning to him and he should take it seriously or his personal safety would be at risk, said the letter. He had been given a chance in Singapore and he would not get another one, it added.

The letter, which referred to him as 'Edison Chan', had no signature, said Apple Daily.

The threat came after the 28-year-old Chinese Canadian attended two promotional events in Singapore on Feb 27. That same day, Cable TV aired an exclusive interview with a victim of the scandal, Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung.

According to Apple Daily, Chen will be in Singapore on April 6 to promote the thriller The Sniper. Shaw Organisation, the Singapore distributor of the movie, had no comment.

The gold-coloured bullet and letter were delivered in a white envelope, which was sent in an A4-sized brown envelope with United States postage stamps and a return address in Pennsylvania.

The station's footage showed no postmarks on the brown envelope, however, and it was uncertain where the letter was sent from. The stamps depict the Liberty Bell. In Chinese, 'bell' and 'death' are homonyms.

Chen's management firm, East Asia Entertainment, said that it was 'shocked' but had no further comment.

The actor has not appeared in public in Hong Kong since Feb 21 last year, when he apologised for the scandal. According to the South China Morning Post, he said on Nov 26 that he would not return to Hong Kong as he feared for his safety.

In my opinion, pushups are the single most effective exercise for improving total body fitness. They offer the benefits of weight lifting, stretching and cardio vascular training all in one exercise. For a beginner, pushups can be very difficult because of how many muscles are involved. Many of which are under trained in the body of a beginner. In fact, even many seasoned bench press veterans have trouble doing high-rep pushup workouts because their secondary and stabilizer muscles are untrained.

Holding the proper form is a great exercise alone, without even performing any repetitions. The actual motion of a pushup trains the chest, triceps and the anterior deltoids, while stretching the biceps and back. Pushups are considered by many people to be the best all-around chest workout. I have found that they are great at increasing muscle size and tone. I have also found that they are easier on the joints than the bench press. Additionally, large pushup workouts are great for circulation and overall cardiovascular health.

When performed in high-repetition workouts, pushups can increase human growth hormone, boosting overall muscle growth. This is the hidden benefit of pushups that many people never discover because they only perform pushups as a supplemental exercise, rather than as a primary chest workout. If you plan to use pushups as a primary chest exercise, then I encourage you to perform a lot of sets and reps, and set a goal of completing between 500 and 1000 pushups. Pushups are much more challenging and painful than a standard bench press, but if you commit yourself to them, you can have amazing results.

The star of the hit Cantonese crime thriller "Infernal Affairs" said he won't settle for two-bit roles or stereotypical characters who only excel in kung fu.

"Do you think they respect Chinese movies?" the 42-year-old actor and singer said in an interview Tuesday with The Associated Press.

Lau said he's been approached with Hollywood scripts but "nothing has moved me yet."

"Infernal Affairs" scored five of Taiwan's Golden Horse Awards, the Chinese-speaking world's equivalent of the Oscars, but Lau noted it had not yet made it to the United States.

Warner Brothers bought rights to remake the film, however.

"Why can't our movies be distributed in America without going through the major studios?" Lau asked.

Other Hong Kong talents who have thrived in Hollywood are typically action stars, including Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Chow Yun-fat.

"I don't think the product I'm working on is inferior to theirs," Lau said.

Asked whether he envisions any changes in Hollywood's attitudes toward Chinese, Lau voiced strong doubts.

"Not in my generation," he said. "Look at how long it took for blacks."

Lau said he turned down a role as a cross-dressing Chinese opera diva in the Hollywood love story "M. Butterfly" because filmmakers wouldn't entertain his suggestion to delete a scene.

"They said, 'You're nobody. Don't bargain with us,'" Lau said.
John Lone eventually played the part of the Beijing transvestite — who becomes the love object of a French diplomat who initially is ignorant of the character's gender.

But the role's controversial nature wasn't the reason he rejected the offer, said Lau, who is known for his sappy ballads and mainstream movies.

Lau said his fans would accept him playing a homosexual character.

He said he had been ready to take a part in Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai's "Happy Together" — the story of two gay lovers who escape to Argentina — but he opted out because of disagreements over the production timetable.

Asked why he hasn't been bolder with his choices, Lau said, "It's a matter of things falling in place."

Lau also defended the multi-tasking approach of Chinese stars.

Unlike most top entertainers in the West, Lau and his fellow artists juggle acting and singing careers.

"In the Olympics, I respect the decathlon," he said.

The message in the watch differs slightly from what the watchmaker later said he wrote.

Watchmaker Jonathan Dillon was repairing Lincoln's watch in April 1861 when he heard about the attack on Fort Sumter, South Carolina, and wrote a short message on the metal inside the watch, the Smithsonian said.

There it remained, unseen for almost 150 years, it said.

In a 1906 interview with The New York Times, Dillon reported that as soon as he heard the news about the first shots of the Civil War, he unscrewed the dial of the watch and wrote on the metal, "The first gun is fired. Slavery is dead. Thank God we have a President who at least will try."

The actual message that the museum found differs from the watchmaker's recollection. It says, "Jonathan Dillon, April 13-1861, Fort Sumpter [sic] was attacked by the rebels on the above date J Dillon, April 13-1861, Washington, thank God we have a government, Jonth Dillon."

According to the Smithsonian, it was not unusual for professional watchmakers to record their work inside a watch.

"Lincoln never knew of the message he carried in his pocket," said Brent D. Glass, director of the National Museum of American History.

The museum decided to open the watch after being contacted by the watchmaker's great-great-grandson, Doug Stiles, who had heard about the message Dillon said he had inscribed and wanted to see if it was really there.

Rising actress Jang Ja-yeon, who was currently starring in the KBS 2TV hit drama ``Boys over Flowers,'' was found dead in an apparent suicide Saturday at her home in Bundang, Gyeonggi Province.Police said that the 26-year-old actress apparently hanged herself from a stairway railing and was discovered by her sister around 7:30 p.m. Jang was known to have had trouble with her current management agency renewing her contract. The actress had complained about the overwhelming stress to her sister during a phone call at 3:30 p.m. that day, saying she ``wants to die.''According to police investigations, Jang also suffered from depression and had undergone medical treatment during the past year.

About 10 years ago, Jang lost both of her parents in a car accident when she was in high school and had lived with her sister since. A will has yet to be found, but after her family's statements about the actress' ongoing struggle with depression, police are searching for further evidence of suicide and returned Jang's body to the bereaved family without performing an autopsy. Various stars, including the cast of Boys Over Flowers, are visiting the late actress' mortuary at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital to offer their condolences. The recent shock that phased the Boys Before Flowers cast is now known. Actress, Jang JaYeon was found dead and this news is still having an effect on many. The reason for her suicide was never truly known. Ideas such as as having problems with her managment, less appearences on Boys Before Flowers, bashing by antis, etc. None of those were proven to be a lie as close friends said that it was because of her depression.
Jang JaYeon hanged herself in her home yesterday. Police believed that she began aving her depression after the loss of her parents–due to a car accident– ten years ago. Jan JaYeon was still in high schol during that time. Although, she gained all of her parents fortunes, she suffered mentally. She looked happy and fortunate, but inside she felt miserable and lonely and had a high phobia about losing her friends.

Jang Ja Yun sister has expressed that she had depression all along and it had gotten even worst recently. She would often shut herself in her room when she doesn’t have any schedules.

Her sister also added that in order for her to forget the painful memory JaYeon would try many things including buying pets but it didn’t help her. She also visited the hospital a lot for her depression, but no one thought she’d go this distance and commit suicide.

Police had a 119 call from JaYeon’s sister and the quickly rushed to the scene. Sadly, they arrive too late and JaYeon had already passed away a few hours ago by hanging herself from the railing along her stairs. She left behind nothing. The last call JaYeon made was to her friend at 2:30 pm which she said that she was tired and wanted to die. Her body will be creamated on the 9th.
The last episode she appeared on for BoysBefore Flowers was episode 12 as the red carpet for the 45th Baeksang Awards was her last stage.

As her parents passed away a long time ago, not many relatives came to attend the wake today, but most of the Boys Before Flowers Cast and Productions attended.

The actress Jang Ja-yeon, who hanged herself last Saturday, left a lengthy suicide note. "Ja-yeon would feel sad if she knew people consider her as a mere depression patient who died without even leaving a will," a friend told the Chosun Ilbo. "I decided to reveal some part of her writing dotted with thumbprints to pay respect to what she had in mind."

But the friend added, "Even though the note includes details of how she has been hurt since she started working in show business to become an actress, I won't reveal it all because that could cause unwitting damage to others."

Jang's friends have been suspicious that the 29-year-old really killed herself due to depression because she had just risen from relative obscurity through the hugely popular TV drama, "Boys over Flowers."

Jang was allegedly distressed over the need to choose an agency, but a representative with her current agency said Sunday, "She wanted to renew the contract with us after it expired, so we were discussing the matter. I can't believe that problems surrounding the agency have driven her to suicide."

A representative at another agency identified as Yu, to whom Jang had reportedly talked about her problems, is believed to have seen the suicide note but has been incommunicado since he wrote on his website, "People in the entertainment world know why she killed herself."

It's a small, quaint place. The decor is very rustic, with dim lighting and wooden tables both indoors and under a covered patio outside. The owners of Choo Choo Churros are Argentinian, and make all most everything that can be made from scratch: even the house mayonnaise is homemade. They are huge into wine there, and the wine racks fill the dining room.

They make the most delicious homemade empanadas filled with beef, chicken or an Argentinian style cream corn. The beef empanadas at Choo Choo Churros are filled with beef, a boiled egg white, and an olive, one of the most unique and tasty empanadas I have ever had.

They serve everything with fantastic chimichurri which is a bit different from other styles I've had, and a bowl of spicy, pureed peppers. Even the salads are amazing, which as simple, rustic bowls of just lettuce onion and tomato with a very high grade red wine vinegar and olive oil.

For the entree we order the parrillada, or mixed grill. You can get a giant churrasco steak, about 1.5 inches thick of Angus beef, cooked perfectly. You get churrasco, handmade chorizo sausage, beef short ribs, handmade morcilla -- the most delicious blood sausage you'll ever taste, filled with garlic and spices -- and lemon-grilled sweetbreads (chosen especially for their tenderness). Sweetbreads are the thymus glands and pancreas glands of the beef. They reminded me of tender chicken.

The parrillada is best when eaten immediately and is served sometimes with lemon wedges and in Argentina, always with Chimichurri, a sauce either purchased or made fresh at home from oregano, garlic, parsley, spices, vinegar and oil. It is also used as a marinade before cooking. They are served with a side of papas fritas (french fries)

The name of Choo Choo Churros originates from when the owners just ran a small churro stand by the train tracks. They still make the churros too - a postre of dulce de leche or guava churros and a beautiful cafe con leche is about the best end to a meal I can think of. Their churros are simply the best.

Forget the big name places, forget the odd location and the odd name. Anyone looking for steak in Orlando would be committing a crime to their own pallet to not visit Choo Choo Churros.

Just saw the Watchmen last night. Some thoughts on it:

Dr Manhattan needs to put on some pants so his wee wee isn't dangling around every which way

Chetry: And so what did you tell them when they were seeking answers about help with the foreclosure situation there, help with job losses? How are you telling them you’re going to be able to make their lives better?

Daniels: Well you have to remember this isn’t the actual campaign, this is the listening tour. So the whole idea of me going there yesterday was I was supposed to be asking the questions to them. I wanted to get their feedback so that I could decide what my platform was going to be on each of those topics. I was very impressed with the turnout. I was very pleased with the turnout and the response but I was, quite honestly, I was a little disappointed that more people didn’t speak up and let me know what their issues were. I think they were very intimidated by the amount of television crews and cameras that were in the room. Of course everybody wanted know to how I felt about taxes. A couple of people wanted to know about David Vitter and the same thing that I said yesterday is I wasn’t there to talk about him. I’ve done enough of that. If they had questions about David Vitter they needed to go and talk to David Vitter about that, but overall I mean I am here to listen to decide what their opinions are.

They say it’s a chance to start with a clean slate, to elect a representative we can be proud of, who will work tirelessly, who will change the status quo. If people are saying okay maybe this isn’t a joke, what are you saying to convince them that you would make a good Senator?

Daniels: The whole draft story came about, like I said before, I had nothing to do with it. I largely ignored the situation in the beginning and the only reason why I am moving forward and I’m sitting here talking to you guys today is because everyone is encouraging me and I’ve gotten so much positive feedback. And the only thing I have to say to people is you know, I don’t have a hidden personal agenda or political agenda. This wasn’t my idea. I’m strictly doing it because I have been called to duty if for nothing else and I think that by taking the steps in this listening tour and really listening to what people have to say and what their concerns and their issues are and forming a way to help them with these things, I think that they are really beginning to take this seriously. Anyone who knows me and has worked with me in any of the businesses that I’ve been involved in before knows that I never take anything lightly. I work extremely hard. I’m always up for a good fight. And I don’t undertake anything that I don’t think that I can be the best at.
